Hello everyone! Sooo, I decided to do a post about a women’s accessory staple-purses. I have quite a few but most of the time I honestly hate having one with me when I go out shopping, to dinner, Disney or pretty much anywhere-I know i’m crazy. I know theyāre convenient to have because you can just dump anything and everything in it, but sometimes I just hate having to carry something and worry about it. Since I typically try to bring a purse everywhere, so that my phone, wallet, lip gloss, gum, and other junk have a place to be, I usually opt for the cross body because sometimes you forget itās even there!
Shopping for presents around the holidays is difficult as it is but not knowing what to get someone and dealing with the crowds and expensive price tags, can reallyĀ make the experience unenjoyable. Ā Shopping for men can make things even more stressfulĀ because either they never want anything or they donāt know what they want because they never go out shopping. For these reasons, we decided to make an under $20 gift guide for men in hopes that it will make your lives a bit easier!
Not to sound redundant but every TJ Maxx and Marshalls (no matter the location) has a menās section around Christmas and a section with bar utensils containing tons of great options for great prices. Everything from whiskey glasses to poker sets to beer card games can be found at these stores. They can be great for brothers, dads, husbands or even just guy friends young and old.
A great gift for only $12.99 at Marshalls are a set of two diamond shaped whiskey glasses that lay tilted on their side. I found them online for $16. If you just Google ādiamond shaped whiskey glassesā several listings come up, but I have yet to see one priced as low as the Marshalls price and most of the online stores that carry the glasses are located in Europe so there is a bit of a price difference.
Usually, around the holidays people have festivities planned whether they be office parties, dinners, or gathering at friends and families. Most of the time the dress code of the event is dressy, but itās always nice to go that extra mile and wear something associated with the holidays. Iām not saying you need to wear red and green to be festive, but quite often you can find something with some kind of holiday spirit in your closet. Whether it be sequins, sparkles, a white or green blazer, a sweater, dress, or sparkly shoes, you can pretty much use anything you think has a little bit more pizazz than usual!
The holidays are soon approaching (crazy I know), which means all the stores will be packed full of people searching for gifts. Now, you donāt want to be stuck with whatās left so itās better to shop earlier rather than later so you have some time to peruse the stores merchandise, find the right gift, and hopefully find it at a good price!
Kat and I typically find that our parents never want anything for the holidays except their typical answer of wanting to spend it with us. Of course even if they say they donāt want anything or need anything we always want to find them something special. Especially because they always make sure we have everything we want and need and often forget about treating themselves.
This gift guide is here to help you find the perfect gift for your mom or that mother figure in your life!
Most stylists, fashion designers, or just people simply interested in fashion, try to coordinate clothing colors with the appropriate season they are dressing in. Truthfully, even in Fall and Winter I often wear colors that some people would say should only be worn in Summer and Spring seasons. Maybe itās because I live in Florida where true seasons donāt exist or maybe itās because I really just donāt give a damn, haha. However, I figured since we are enjoying the sporadic cooler temperatures associated with Fall in Florida, I wanted to share some of my thoughts on perfect Fall colors (even though I wear these colors year round too-simply because theyāre my four fav colors!)
After a long week, it is always nice to look forward to doing something fun on the weekend! This weekend Kathryn and I are planning on going for dinner and drinks and ending the night at the movies to see Spotlight (we can’t wait to see it- watch the trailer if you havenāt).
However, if youāre anything like us, it can be difficult to find something to wear- even if our closets are packed full! Now, I learned this from my sister that it is always important to dress to impress because you never know who youāre going to run into and believe me when you least expect it, it will happen. So, since itās going to be a semi-casual night we both wanted to wear outfits that were stylish but also in keeping with the tone of the evening vibe.
As we mentioned before, we love Marshallās and TJ Maxx but somehow Ross seems to be at the back of peoples’ minds or even completely forgotten when it comes to buying nice things for great prices. My sister, Kathryn, doesnāt frequent Ross near as much as I do, but it doesnāt mean they donāt have as much to offer as Marshalls or TJ Maxx.
I will say I typically donāt shop at Ross for clothes, although I tend to glance at the clearance section while Iām there and I have found some super nice stuff like Michael Kors jeans for $20 and a Marc New York jacket for $25. Itās always a good idea to quickly look just to see what they have. For instance, I even found several pairs of J Brand jeans there tucked in the clearance racks. Hopefully, this post will inspire you to give Ross another chance because you never know what deals are hiding there!
So, since I have a job interview coming up for a job that Iām super excited for, I decided to write a post about how to dress for any job interview in case there are any readers out there who panic when they have to decide on what to wear.
Preparing mentally for an interview is stressful enough, so hopefully this will help take some stress away from the physical preparation! One of the first things my sister told me about dressing for my very first job interview was that youād rather over dress than be too casual.
Now, obviously Iām not advising anyone to wear a ball gown when going on an interview, but you should try to find something that is classy and professional all while being comfortable because you want to make sure you can be yourself too!
Even though Nordstrom Rack is the discount version of Nordstrom, it can still be a very pricey shopping spree at times.
However, that doesnāt mean you canāt find some great deals there. They typically have an additional 25% or 30% off clearance at certain times of the month, called clear the rack!Ā Even when clear the rack isnāt going on, we typically shop only in the clearance clothes section because they have a large selection of nice stuff, then we meander to the shoes and accessories to see whatās going on in those departments.
Ā
Like I said before, since their clothing, shoes, and accessories consist of higher priced, name brand designers some of the items you pick up will give you a heart attack when look at the price tag-even if it is on clearance, trust me!
