Now that it is socially acceptable to be sporting Holiday Sweaters, we have thrown our favorite ones on and paired them with some denim pieces from our closet!
We had an awesome time working with photographer Rachel Lamb on these photos! She is super talented so definitely check out her site!
Usually, around the holidays people have festivities planned whether they be office parties, dinners, or gathering at friends and families. Most of the time the dress code of the event is dressy, but it’s always nice to go that extra mile and wear something associated with the holidays. I’m not saying you need to wear red and green to be festive, but quite often you can find something with some kind of holiday spirit in your closet. Whether it be sequins, sparkles, a white or green blazer, a sweater, dress, or sparkly shoes, you can pretty much use anything you think has a little bit more pizazz than usual!
As we said in our last gift guide, we loveee shopping for gifts. But sometimes you’re on the hunt for those cute little gifts or stocking stuffers and don’t want to spend a ton of money! My best friend and I always say we’ve been friends for so many years that we’ve gotten each other everyyy gift at this point. Now we just love picking up something cute and something that we know the other could use!
Sometimes the meaningful gifts that don’t cost a lot are the best and most loved. Here are some amazing gift items we found for your friend, sister, coworker, etc.
Throwing on a quick outfit in the unpredictable Fall temps can be tricky. For a casual night out you want something effortless but stylish. But in Florida you never know what type of weather you’re going to get!
An easy denim + ankle boots combo can always be a great basis to your Fall ensemb.
A cozy sweater is the perfect added touch to a cold night, while a flannel is ideal for when the temps just begin to drop.
The holidays are soon approaching (crazy I know), which means all the stores will be packed full of people searching for gifts. Now, you don’t want to be stuck with what’s left so it’s better to shop earlier rather than later so you have some time to peruse the stores merchandise, find the right gift, and hopefully find it at a good price!
Kat and I typically find that our parents never want anything for the holidays except their typical answer of wanting to spend it with us. Of course even if they say they don’t want anything or need anything we always want to find them something special. Especially because they always make sure we have everything we want and need and often forget about treating themselves.
This gift guide is here to help you find the perfect gift for your mom or that mother figure in your life!
If you know me, you know that along with fashion I loveee anything makeup related. I love trying new products and techniques (even if I’m not always the best at it!). On the weekends, I love going all out with my makeup because as a teacher, during the week I reallyyy don’t have much time to get ready in the morning.
I’ve gotten my makeup routine during the week down to under 10 minutes, and I use some super affordable products to do it! Waking up at the crack of dawn comes with some dark under eye circles so I swear by these few products to complete a fresh faced look that won’t scare my students!
Most stylists, fashion designers, or just people simply interested in fashion, try to coordinate clothing colors with the appropriate season they are dressing in. Truthfully, even in Fall and Winter I often wear colors that some people would say should only be worn in Summer and Spring seasons. Maybe it’s because I live in Florida where true seasons don’t exist or maybe it’s because I really just don’t give a damn, haha. However, I figured since we are enjoying the sporadic cooler temperatures associated with Fall in Florida, I wanted to share some of my thoughts on perfect Fall colors (even though I wear these colors year round too-simply because they’re my four fav colors!)
Thanksgiving is a little over a week away which is insaneeee to think about! I feel like every year it’s the same thing-the holidays approaching so quickly that in a blink of an eye you’re ringing in the new year!
If you’re like us and the holidays just seem to creep up on you with no warning-let us at least help you with a little holiday outfit inspo!
After a long week, it is always nice to look forward to doing something fun on the weekend! This weekend Kathryn and I are planning on going for dinner and drinks and ending the night at the movies to see Spotlight (we can’t wait to see it- watch the trailer if you haven’t).
However, if you’re anything like us, it can be difficult to find something to wear- even if our closets are packed full! Now, I learned this from my sister that it is always important to dress to impress because you never know who you’re going to run into and believe me when you least expect it, it will happen. So, since it’s going to be a semi-casual night we both wanted to wear outfits that were stylish but also in keeping with the tone of the evening vibe.
For us denim is a must have all year round. It can be dressed up or down and there are so many different styles of denim to choose from.
We love styling denim in the Fall! Here are two of our favorite pairs of jeans at the moment and how we styled them.
Our favorite denim trends this year are distressed and flare jeans. I love skinny jeans, but I’ve always had a pair of flares in my closet and I love wearing them in any season! I’m happy they are finally officially back because stores are now carrying all different brands and versions of the flare. I especially love these high waisted ones-they’re so comfy!
