With Springtime here, we’re excited to add some new {affordable} pieces into our closets!
I absolutely loveee online shopping. I mean isn’t part of the thrill adding a bunch of items to your cart totaling hundreds of dollars knowing you’re probabllyyyyy not going to purchase it. It’s like commitment free shopping.
We’ve compiled what is currently in our carts at a few of our favorite online shopping destinations. So grab a glass a wine and make it an online shopping night!
FOREVER 21
ASOS
NORDSTROM
COTTON ON
Hope you enjoyed our Spring picks that we currently have in our shopping carts!
I can’t wait to get some of these pieces and style them in the upcoming months. Let us know which pieces are your favorite and how you’d style them!
We hope you all had a fantastic Easter weekend, and most of all enjoyed spending time eating candy like us haha. Kat and I just wanted to share with you a quick little review of our affordable Easter ensembs.

No matter how you celebrate Easter, whether it’s by going to church, brunch, on an egg hunt, or just decorating eggs at home dressing up is always fun!
Kat and I are just spending the weekend with family coloring eggs and of course taking pics for the blog haha. Sooo, we wanted to share some of our suggestions on what to wear! Continue Reading
I’d never been to Chicago, but had always wanted to visit and see what Frank Sinatra, and a ton of other people, were talking about.
I definitely fell in love!
That skyline, the food, the people, it was a great trip-even considering the fact that I came back about 500 pounds heavier {the foooood!}
So here are some of our must-do’s when in the city! Please add your recommendations down below as well because I’m quite sure I’ll be back.
{ must EAT }
1. Girl & the Goat
Now, we got lucky getting in to Girl & Goat apparently. We had heard multiple amazing things about this place and thought we’d try and sneak in at opening without a reservation. Luckily, they let us have a table as long as we were done in an hour and a half which was perfect for us, we were on a bit of a restaurant bender at this point. I definitely recommend attempting this if you can’t get a reservation!
Get: Olive Bread & Chickpea Fritter {amaaaazing}
2. Do-Rite Donuts & Chicken
We wandered in here on our last day based on our intrigue {donuts and chicken?!} and some amazing Yelp reviews. They were not wrong! The donuts are soooo good and the spicy chicken sandwich was definitely one of the best I’ve ever had, and I’m not going to lie I’m quite the spicy chicken connoisseur.
Get: buttermilk old fashioned donut & a spicy chicken sandwich
3. Jellyfish
My boyfriend took me here for an early birthday celebration and of course I’m a sucker for a menu shoutout. The vibe is really cool and the service was so good. I’d definitely recommend coming here if you love sushi-it’s in a really cute area of town and there are a bunch of places to venture to after dinner.
Get: Angry Jalapeno Roll
4. Chicago’s Pizza
{I have no pictures of this magical pizza because it didn’t last a minute on the plate}
Now, we were taken here by one of my boyfriend’s friends who used to live in the city and to be honest we had our hesitations as the cab ride felt longgg and it was super late. But this pizza is amaaaazingggg. I can’t even describe how good because now I’m starving and all I want is this pizza.
Get: thin crust Italian sausage
{ must DRINK }
1. The Berkshire Room
We were told to go to this craft cocktail lounge in the ACME Hotel by a local bartender, and I’m so so glad we did. The vibe is cool & moody, almost speak-easy type, and the drinks are delicious.
Get: Semester’s Abroad
2. The Signature Room at the 95th Floor
View = I N S A N E.
That’s really all I have to say about this place. A complete must do. And yes the view is even more amazing from the ladies room as everyone says.
Get: Mojito {yes, a mojito, I know but it was legit goooood}
3. RM Champagne Salon
Now if you know me you know I am all about my champsss so this place was a must. It was such a cute atmosphere. They have a gorgeous patio area, which is open in the summer, so I would definitely return to sip some champagne there as well!
Get: some champs of course & the Chocolate Tart dessert
4. Forbidden Root Brewery
We were taken to this brewery by some locals we met at The Berkshire Room. They said it was the first brewery dedicated to crafting botanic beers using all natural ingredients in Chicago. It was such a cool experience and a really fun environment! We absolutely love recommendations from locals because they’re usually off the beaten path.
Get: Forbidden Root brew
{ must SEE }
1. St. Patrick’s Day Celebration
This was so fun! I would definitely recommend experiencing Chicago during their St. Patrick’s Day celebration. The green river was magical and the city was so alive.
2. West Loop
We stumbled upon this area when we were going to RM Champagne Salon. It wasn’t open yet so it gave us time to explore the area and try some delicious food. Green Street Meats, Girl & the Goat, there are so many cool bars and restaurants in this area.
3. The Bean at Night
As a tourist in this city, I was definitely seeing the Bean. I am so happy we ended up there at night. It wasn’t super crowded and the pictures don’t even do it justice. I would highly suggest visiting at night.
4. Cultural Center
We stumbled into the Cultural Center as our last stop on our last day and I am so glad we did. It is so beautiful and we walked in on a couple of amazing musicians practicing, so basically a free concert. It is definitely worth the stop.
5. The Navy Pier
We saw beautiful views of the water and the fog rolling in on the city at the Navy Pier. This Summer they’ll be unveiling the new ferris wheel which looks so fun. I’ll definitely have to return one summer to experience a little warmth and ferris wheel action at the Navy Pier.
We absolutely fell in love with this city and had so many fun adventures. If you have any plans to travel here I hope our recommendations help! We spent 3 and a half days in Chicago and got a lot done {and a lotttt of food eaten}.
“Jobs fill your pockets. Adventures fill your soul.”
We thought it would be fun to start a new series on the blog discussing our five current FAVORITE items. It doesn’t have to be fashion or beauty related, but can range from food to music to anything really.
I love seeing what other people are loving at the moment because we love trying out different products, food, and fashion trends!
So here it goes, each of our Current [5] Favorites:

1. Cookie Dough Cafe
Sooo, this was on Shark Tank and became super popular because it is absolutely delicious!!! It is called The Cookie Dough Cafe and is just cookie dough simply meant to be eaten with a spoon-not baked. I cannot stop eating it! I bought it at The Fresh Market and decided to try the Monster and Oreo flavors both of which are so yummy!
2. Backpack Purses
I really fell in love with the idea of backpack purses especially after they became super trendy in Hollywood. I never loved carrying a purse, especially when shopping, so being able to be super stylish and carry tons of stuff while not even realizing I have a purse, made me really love this idea of getting a backpack purse! Aldo has some cute styles for reasonable prices!!
3. ColourPop Lippie Stix
Kat is the one that has been using Colour Pop lip sticks and is loving them! I never typically wear anything but lip gloss, but because she was raving about this brand, I thought I’d give it a try! This is a nude color called Aquarius and it is stunning and goes with everything!
4. Distressed Denim
Lately, I really just can’t get enough of distressed jeans especially black ones! Of course I always make sure they’re high-waisted because that’s more comfy! I just think the rips keep you in style but still can look nice if there aren’t too many rips and tears! Asos has a wide variety of colors in distressed denim for reasonable prices!
5. Goombay Smash {Drink}
With the warmer months coming, I really love a nice tropical drink- that’s strong of course haha. Bahama Breeze actually makes this drink but you can make it at home and it tastes just as good! It’s a mix of coconut rum, spiced rum, apricot brandy, and orange and pineapple juice. My mouth is watering as i’m typing this- yes it’s that good!

1. Lace-Up Sandals
Last year I kept eyeing the Steve Madden Werkit sandals, but could not get myself to spend $60 on a flat sandal.
This year I jumped on the trend before the warm weather hit to find some super affordable and cute lace-up options. Both of these pairs are from Charlotte Russe and I am obsessssed with them. They are comfy and exactly what I wanted at a fraction of the price.
2. Western Accents
I’ve been loving how Western style pieces are coming into play. I can’t wait to pair some of these options with some denim shorts and relaxed T’s or tank tops for Spring & Summer.
3. Daily Planner
I’ve been loving using my planner this year. I know that does not sound like a super exciting favorite, but every year I buy a planner in January and then pretty much lose it around this time of year.
This year I’ve been tracking my workout goals, blog goals, any events I have coming up and I swear I feel more organized and put together. Andddd I write with my favorite colored pens, so that just makes life that much prettier.
4. Multigrain Tortilla Chips
Now food is always a favorite of mine, but since I’ve been trying to be healthier this year I am always on the look out for a healthier version of things that I love. Tortilla chips are probably my favorite chip and even though these are Multigrain and made with brown rice, flax, are gluten free, and every other healthy adjectives I could use they are sooooo good. Just add some mango salsa and I’m in heaven.
5. Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel
Now I used to suck at moisturizing my skin, mainly because I am super oily and felt like I didn’t need to. Obviously I was wrong haha and I was just making my skin produce more oil.
I love this gel because it absorbs so quickly but still keeps my skin soft and moisturized. I put it on underneath my makeup and I’m good to go!
Let us know some of your current favorites! We love trying new products, food, and trends!
Spring is right around the corner, and with that so is Easter! Of course living in Florida, it pretty much feels like summer here already, haha. So, Kat and I wanted to share with you some of our Spring looks! We loveee florals, pastels, crop tops, lace and I even wear black as one of my Spring ensembs!
Just like other fashionistas, we associate pastels with Spring just because they’re so light and remind us of all the beautiful flowers ready to bloom! Kat chose to wear one her fav tops from Marshalls in that soft blush color. And who could blame her! It is so clean looking and has that touch of soft pink that makes it so elegant.
She styled the dressier top with some distressed boyfriend jeans from Nordstrom! It really gives her outfit that shabby chic look!
She paired her ensemb with some lovely faux snake skin heels from Aldo that are just to die for. The nude is classic but the pattern really spices the whole outfit up!
I know black isn’t technically a Spring color, but it truly is one of my fav colors to wear. And I wanted to show off my new black and white printed Vince Camuto tank that I bought from Marshalls for just $10!!
I paired it with one of my fav pairs of black high waisted skinny jeans from TJMaxx to keep it classic looking!
As for my shoes they are legit the most comfortable heels I have ever worn. I literally could wear them all day everyday just like sneakers. They are black leather Vince Camuto heels with a bit of a wedge. I found them at Ross and am so glad I didn’t pass them up!
Kat and I really just love sharing some of our looks with you and are truly excited for all the Spring clothing items breaking out of the closet! There’s not just one specific color or style that you must wear for Spring so that’s why its exciting to mix it up and just wear some of your fav styles or colors!
We could not be more excited for some fun, Spring fashion. My birthday is actually the first day of Spring so I’m always on top of the countdown!
This week we styled some gorgeous Spring blouses from PinkBlush. We loveee finding trendy boutiques online that have stylish pieces, but a lot of the time these boutiques can be super pricey!
When we discovered the women’s online boutique ShopPinkBlush we not only became obsessed with their items, but also their prices! They are super affordable and have great blouses, sweaters, denim, and cute dresses for women. Along with accessories and a great maternity and baby selection.
We are styling two of our favorites blouses from their current collection. They are perfect for Spring because they are long sleeved but lightweight so they work as transitional pieces while the weather begins to warm up!
When Tee saw this blouse on PinkBlush boutique’s site she fell in love! She loved the diamond print and side slits. The fabric is so soft and perfect for those Spring days!
She paired it with some dark denim skinnies and a pair of taupe suede wedges. But the length of this top makes it perfect for leggings too!
Now I am obsesssssed with this top! It is so incredibly gorgeous and has that bohemian feel.
I love the crochet detailing and the belled out sleeves. It works perfect paired with some medium wash skinnies and an ankle boot. I also added a fringe bag to keep up with the bohemian vibessss.
I know I’ll be rocking this blouse with some cutoffs and lace up sandals during the summer time as well!
Definitely check out PinkBlush Boutique! If you’re anything like us and love unique pieces that are super affordable you will absolutely love their stuff.
Let us know what your favorite pieces from their collection are!
Kat and I are getting suited up for International Women’s Day! She actually told me it was International Women’s Day so of course we had to participate and dress up in our business suits. I love wearing business clothes because I feel so professional and important haha, but Kat adds a little more style to her business ensemb.
For Kat’s suit she wore a gorgeous blush colored blazer from Nordstrom Rack. This color is just super classy and clean looking.
Sometimes people think you have to be super matchy or opt for the classic navy blue, black, and grey colors when wearing a suit. Kat chose to throw a nice pop of color by wearing red pants that she bought from Forever 21.
Since she had some nice coloring in her blazer and pants, she decided to go with a very neutral, long white tee for her top that she bought from Urban Outfitters.
She chose to wear a beautiful patent leather nude heel by Steve Madden. But of course she made sure to wear her foot pads!
I went with a bit more traditional look for my suit, but I still changed it up a bit! I wore a baby blue blazer from Forever 21, which I thought was perfect with Spring right around the corner.
I chose to wear it with a white, sleeveless Michael Kor’s top that I bought at Marshall’s, of course!
My Vince Camuto navy pants are seriously my go to for all job interviews ha, and they were a steal at Macy’s. I just am obsessed with skinny dress pants!
To finish off the suit, I chose to wear a pair of heels, shocking I know! I bought these snake skin nude Coach heels a couple of years ago at Marshall’s.
I just wanted to link a couple of super cute blazers that are on sale right now!!
Women look super badass and stylish when working their suits! And who could resist participating in International Women’s Day?! So, please share some of your looks with us or maybe a favorite suit/blazer that you love to wear.
Sooo, this past weekend I was able to visit the fun and huge state of Texas for my birthday! I was super excited to visit my bestie who recently relocated to Houston. But before I headed her way, I was able to make some super fun stops along the way in Conroe, Humble, and The Woodlands! Continue Reading
Mimosas and pancakes-those two words are like music to my ears. And bacon, of course!
We love doing Brunch on the weekends. Especially when the weather is nice, it is so fun & relaxing to sit outside, drink mimosas, and eat delicious food.
When you’re dressing for Brunch, you want to be cute but casual and comfy-let’s be honest if you’re like us you are going to be eating lots of food!
Tee went with a pair of dark high waisted skinny jeans and this gorgeous Lucky Brand top that was a steal at Marshalls.
High waisted jeans are always a cute basic to wear to Brunch. They are comfy and can be dressed up with heels or down with flats.
She paired hers with her favorite embellished gold flats!
I have not worn overalls since I was probably in Elementary school, but I have been really wanting to try a pair out lately and I loveeee them!
This pair is so incredibly comfy and I love that they are slightly distressed. The exact pair can be found here at Nordstrom, but I’ve linked other options down below!
I paired it with an open knit sweater from Target and my go-to Converse.
These overalls are super comfy and were perfect for a brunch date!
