With this summer season upon us, Kat and I thought it was time to empty out our closets since they are literally at their breaking point haha. We both consider ourselves clothes hoarders and try to do a clean out at least twice a year. Since my shelf literally came out of the wall due to all the items I stacked up in my closet, I figured now was the time to do a reorganization.
We wanted to try and share some of our organizational tips and tricks with you all especially for those that love shopping but don’t always have the room to add more clothes, like us haha. Even though we do a closet clean out and end up giving a huge pile of clothes away, we still don’t have near as much room as we thought!
In order to save valuable space, I was able to get those under the bed storage compartments for shoes and those plastic drawer bins for bathing suits, socks and undergarments!
Kat bought those hanging shelves, a clothing rack, and the hangers that hold like 4 pairs of pants each!
Our rule for giving stuff away is pretty much based on how often we wear it. If we haven’t worn something in 3-6 months or forgot we even had it, we typically give it away. When we aren’t sure if we should give away or keep an item we try them on and send pictures to each other for the others opinion haha. We know, we’re crazy!
Of course we all have that one pair of jeans that don’t fit but we promise ourselves they will one day so things like that and clothes that have memories attached to them are fine to keep in our book!

These were great ideas girlies. My biggest issue is space too, so I’m definitely going to search for some of these things. And you aren’t crazy, I always send my sister my Instagram pic before I post to ask “yes or no” What would we do without our special sisters?!
Love Shan xxx
Thanks so much Shan!! Glad we’re not the only ones sending our sisters approval pics! Have a lovely weekend! xoxo
