Blake Lively always has amazing style! She is gorgeous and always pulls off unique pieces so effortlessly. We gathered inspiration from two of her looks and styled them for waaay less!
//LOOK #1
We loved this effortlessly chic street style look! An all black look with that gorgeous tan leather jacket is just so good.
Tee styled the look with a black long sleeve t-shirt and skinny jeans. She subbed in black boots instead of loafers to deal with the chillier winter temps!
She added some pretty gold accessories to finish off the look.

We love recreating celebrity looks for less! Let us know who you’d like to see next!
You know how everyone says every girl should own a LBD (little black dress) well I think everyone should own a black top and bottom of some sort too!
Colorful wardrobes are essential because you have variable options, and it’s nice to have that added pop of color in your ensemble. However, no matter the occasion, season, setting, or body type, BLACK is essential in every wardrobe.
It literally will go with anything, making it super versatile!
Whether it be black pants, shoes, tee-shirts, suits, jackets, sweaters, or blouses- it honestly is a ‘color’ that looks amazing on everyone and can easily be paired with any type of outfit.
Bonus– I always feel slimmer and more sleek when I wear black haha.
Kat went for a dressier look with this black knit sweater that featured a Peter Pan collar.

Of course shopping for new clothes is more like a weekly thing than a holiday one haha, but the New Year just so happened to be the perfect time to pick out some fun, new items to style! Kat and I were lucky enough to get to pick out items from Rosegal.
I don’t know what it is about button up shirts, but I really could wear them all the time. Maybe it’s the collar or the fact that they can be casual or dressed up, but I just LOVE them!
I gravitated toward this button up on the site mainly because it had the most adorable, sequined dinosaur patches!
It’s a very light, demin shirt, but what makes it so unique are the colorful dinos! Bonus it’s under $23!
It’s super comfy, and I knew it would be something special to add to my collection of button ups!
Shockingly, we are experiencing some cold fronts in Florida which allows us to sport some super cozy knits, sweaters, and coats!
Kat decided to pick out this super soft sweater under $24!
It’s a pretty grey color, and it’s long enough so that it can be styled with leggings.
It’s also a bit oversized which makes it really comfortable and warm-perfect for those temperature drops!
Honestly, who can resist a comfy sweater!
We definitely recommend you checking out Rosegal because we are in love with our pieces. Also check out their Instagram for some awesome style inspiration. The quality is good and of course the prices are really affordable!
Although we received these items free of charge, all opinions are our own.
Who will be best dressed this year?!
Now that the new year is here, award season is fast approaching. In our household it has always been a tradition to watch the award shows with our mom.
We would always get excited to see all of the fashion on the red carpet and see the who’s who of Hollywood at these events.
For us the Golden Globes and the Oscars are always the main events of award show season. Because Sunday is the Golden Globes and Jimmy Fallon is hosting {love him!} we thought it be fun to share some hosting tips for your own Golden Globes party!
WHAT TO DO
How cute are these fun Bingo cards?! Print some out for your guests while you watch the show and see who’s first to get 5 in a row! {Could also be a fun drinking game!}
Print out ballots for your guests to complete prior to the show and reveal who the winner is at the end of the night!
WHAT TO EAT & DRINK
I love the idea of a popcorn bar!
What better snack is there to celebrate movies & TV with than popcorn?!
Supply your guests with sweet and savory toppings ranging from parmesan cheese to Rasinets!
BRIT + CO has a great tutorial for setting up your popcorn station!
As you know we are champagne and prosecco lovers so how could we host a Golden Globes shindig without a little champs!
I found this golden cocktail recipe on A Beautiful Mess and knew it would be perfect for the night!
It combines prosecco and grapefruit juice. Just add a little edible gold glitter or sprinkles to the rim to add the Golden Globes touch!
WHAT TO WEAR
Now you could totally go all out and have your guests come as their favorite celeb or come all dressed up in a gorg Golden Globes worthy gown, buuuut in my opinion I’m all about watching in comfort.
Loving all of these adorable PJ options!
Can’t wait to watch the Globes Sunday with some delicious popcorn & cocktails!
Happy Watching!
Celebrating our 1 year Blogiversary today and asking ourselves “Where did the time go?!”.
A year has legitimately flown by and yet we have learned so much during this time. A year ago we were nervous to launch Fashion without the Fortune, not really confident in our blogging skills and continuously asking ourselves “Is anyone even going to read this thing?!”. But we took the plunge, wrote our first post {our guide to shopping Marshalls}, and pressed publish.
And we’re so happy we did!
We have met so many incredible people this past year through this blogging adventure-people from across the world and right in our own backyard. We’ve loved sharing our posts and can’t wait to see what this next year brings for our little blog.
So here’s a cheers to affordable fashion, fun travel adventures, and sharing all of it with my sister!
Cheers to 1 year Fashion without the Fortune!

Kat and I just wanted to share with you all simple and fun fall outfit ideas. We are all super busy with work, errands, family and friends, but we all have one thing in common-we LOVE fashion!
Sometimes you just need an easy outfit to throw on while still staying fashionable!
For my Fall ensemble, I went super casual & comfy by throwing on leggings (which i never really wear haha) and a flannel.
Flannels are def my go-to for Fall fashion. And of course I had to add one of my fav pair of suede, green kicks!
Since it isn’t cold enough for a scarf, I decided to go for a baseball cap. The grey really brought out the grey in my flannel and the faux leather brim just added that extra detail!
I literally threw this outfit together in 2 minutes and it’s super comfy all while staying within the season’s trend!
Kat opted for a super cute black dress with polka dots from SHEIN! It’s nice and easy to just throw on, and so easy to dress it up! Bonus it is under $20!!
The cutout sleeves add the perfect amount of detail. And it will look so chic with black tights when the weather cools down.
To add some neutral accessories Kat opted for a nude cross-body and camel colored hat.
Linked are some similar styles!
{exact dress!}
It’s the most wonderful timeeee of the year!
Epcot’s Food & Wine Festival is a must for us every year. It is so fun to travel through the countries and see what delicious dishes & drinks each one has to offer.
If you have never been, we definitely recommend hitting it up at least once! It runs through November 14th this year.
Here is our trip roundup!
We had such an amazing trip and of course can’t wait to return!
