Styling Stripes [day & night]

We love a good classic print and for us stripes are a staple. A timeless style for all ages. We often hear people say ‘I can’t wear stripes-they’re unflattering!’ to which we say YESSSS YOU CAN and no they’re not!

Often times people misjudge that the stripes themselves are unflattering, when really it is the cut of the top, dress, or pants. Stripes have come a long way from the basic striped T. There are so many gorgeous pieces out there featuring the classic print and we’re styling two of them for day and night.

DAY

Tee loved the style of this cute v neck T! Instead of basic black and white stripes, it has the cutest reverse striped detail on the sleeves and back. It is also super flattering on and only $5!! I mean $5?!

For a more casual look Tee styled it with these cute step hem dark denim jeans and these adorable white slip ons. They have a perforated detail which makes them that much cuter! This top is so versatile and can be styled in so many different ways! It will look amazing with a leather jacket once the weather cools down a bit.

NIGHT

To say I’m in love with this top is an understatement! I love the vertical stripes and the cool take on a classic button down. It features billowy sleeves and an off the shoulder neckline! And bonus it is under $20!!

To dress it up for a night out I paired it with some high-waisted skinny jeans and my go-to nude heels. I threw on this gorgeous layered necklace from Ettika and some gold hoops to complete the look. This top is the statement piece so I wanted the rest of the look to be clean and simple!
