New Year- New Body (We hope)

January 4, 2016

Sooo, most people who partake in making a New Year’s resolution often decide that one of them should be to get in shape by either working out, eating healthier, or both.  It would be great if doing these things would be as easy as saying you will, haha, but typically work, food, and alcohol get in the way!

Kat and I really just wanted to try to eat better and work out during the week and then on Friday and Saturday’s allow ourselves to drink and eat what we want.  Honestly, you shouldn’t deprive yourself completely of what you enjoy.  Allowing yourself to let loose on the weekend will hopefully make it easier to stick with the healthy eating and workouts during the week.

Since I HATE working out but love physical activities, I am choosing to play basketball and bike as my workout and possibly do a workout video known as Kettleworx (which I actually don’t mind.)

Kat has been trying these 20-30 minute YouTube videos as her workout routine.  Funnily enough even though I don’t enjoy working out I probably do own more workout clothes than someone with a gym membership.  I just love how comfy they are and how easy it is to just throw them on to run errands, walk the dogs, or lounge around in.

One of my fav stores to buy workout gear in is Bealls.  I seriously can’t find a better deal anywhere else.  Although Marshall’s, TJMaxx, and Ross have tons of workout wear, it isn’t as good of a deal as at Bealls.

My secret to getting them so cheap is using their coupons.  Typically on Tuesdays Bealls sends out several coupons.  My two favorites are the EXTRA 50% off all clearance items and $10 off $25 or more.  All the clearance sections in Bealls are color coded.  So, on the price tags of each clothing items there will be a colored mark and each color has a different percentage off.

For example, if you pick up an item and it has a brown mark on the price tag and brown corresponds to 50% off then you would take 50% the original price PLUS another 50% off because of the coupon.  It probably sounds a bit more complicated reading this, but it’s super simple.  So, with these coupons I literally get all my workout clothes for about $9-$15!!  I always spend under $20 (and I don’t mean $19.99 I mean like no more than $15) at Bealls because I always shop on clearance with the extra 50% off coupon.

Just to be clear, I’m buying Nike, Under Armour, and Champion so these are stylish and high quality brands at these low prices.

Since Bealls is a store specific to Florida, I’ve linked some other options for you from some of our other favorite stores to find affordable workout gear!

Here are some cute workout ensembs from 6pm and Cotton On all under $20!
