Current SKINCARE Favorites

September 1, 2016

Skincare is one of the most important things to take seriously. Ā With all the make up and climate conditions we deal with on a daily basis, it is important to protect our skin! Ā Whether is super hot and sunny or dry and cold, finding the right product for you is essential! Ā And applying all different makeup on our skin and constantly touching our face with our hands {guilty!} isn’t the best either, so we need to be sure that we used products that can restore our skinĀ to our natural selves haha.

Here are some of our current favorites!

Tee’s {skincare} Faves

One of the newest face washes I’ve tried…and loved is the Biore Baking Soda Pore Cleanser. Ā It has some exfoliating beads which really help by getting into your pores and clearing out the dirt! Ā It also leaves your skin feeling nice and smooth!

Another Biore product that I can’t get enough of is the Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser. Ā This is one of my favorite face washes because it makes my face feel soooo good after I use it. Ā Something in the cleanser leavings your face feeling super cool and refreshed, and anything to get rid of black heads is right up my alley. Ā I actually recommend using the baking soda first and then the charcoal cleanser since one exfoliates and the other foams and cleans.

The next two face wash options that rotate in and out of my shower are Garnier Blackhead Eliminating Scrub and the St. Ives Green Tea Blackhead Clearing Scrub. Ā Both of these products are phenomenal exfoliators. Ā I’ve had friends use them and not like how rough they are on their skin. I, on the other hand, love how many beads are in these washes because I feel like they are deep cleaning my pores and taking all the dead skin, dirt, and makeup off of my face.

Ā I love the St. Ives mainly because it calms the redness on my face and takes away my cherub cheeks haha. Ā As you can see though, a main theme throughout my cleansers is that they all help clear blackheads. Ā Both of these washes really help to soften the skin!

Kat always tells me how crazy I am for using my face cleansers as makeup removers, but I truly love it simply because it works! Ā It takes all my makeup off while ridding my skin of blackheads and acne! Ā Who doesn’t want that in their life?!

Kat’sĀ {skincare} Faves

I’ll be honest having super oily skin has in the past scared me away from moisturizing my skin! I was afraid I would just make it more oily-which in turn is the complete opposite of what if actually does. I’ve really been into skincare lately and have already acquired a few must have products.

I have been obsessed with this Phyto Replenish Oil from Dermologica. You know I have been loving that glowy, luminous skin and this product has seriously changed the game. I put this on under my moisturizer before I do my foundation and I swear my foundation applies so much nicer!

Use code KATHRYNN20 for 20% off on Dermalogica!

My favorite night cream has been the H2O Plus Waterbright Illuminating Night Cream.

Screen Shot 2016-09-01 at 2.42.26 PM

I feel like this has made my skin so much brighter and reduced dark spots from any scarring I’ve had. It feels great on the skin and I love that it has a pump that pushes up the perfect amount of product. You don’t have to dip your hand in the jar or question how much to apply!

To take off my makeup I alternate between two products. My ride or die is definitely the Mario Badescu Glycolic Foaming Cleanser. I have used this for years and swear by it. It exfoliates your skin without any beads and leaves it looking radiant and refreshed.

A newer product I’ve been using to remove my makeup every night is theĀ Juice Beauty STEM Cellular Cleansing Oil. It removes my makeup and doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry or dehydrated.

Screen Shot 2016-09-01 at 2.52.05 PM

It is definitely a different type of product because you rub the oil on your dry skin first breaking down your makeup, then you add a bit of water. I’m loving how luminous my skin feels after I pat it dry.

My last go-to skin care product are definitely my Pond’s Evening Sooth Makeup Wipes. I’ve tried so many makeup wipes in the past and these are my ultimate favorites. I use them to remove my eye makeup and any trace of face makeup that is left after cleansing.

They now have Cold Cream technology built in which I love because I feel like they are extra soothing. I definitely can’t live without these!

We’d love to hear some of your skincare favorites and recommendations. We are all aboutĀ trying new products and are always on the lookout for some new favorites!

-CLOSET CLEANOUT-

June 15, 2016

With this summer season upon us, Kat and I thought it was time to empty out our closets since they are literally at their breaking point haha. Ā We both consider ourselves clothes hoarders and try to do a clean out at least twice a year. Ā Since my shelf literally came out of the wall due to all the items I stacked up in my closet, I figured now was the time to do a reorganization.

Road Trippin’

May 19, 2016

Sooo, for Memorial Day Weekend we are taking a mini vaca to Savannah, Georgia! Ā I cannot wait cause I have only heard wonderful things about this charming destination. Ā Kat has been there before but we still wanted to compile a list of things we want to do and restaurants/bars we want to try!

I loveeeee spooky things so one of my must dos is the Blue Orb Ghost Tour. Ā It got amazing reviews and is definitely something different to try.

The Olde Pink house seems just like a classic tavern to try when visiting Savannah. Ā It’s an 18th century mansion that serves classic southern cuisine with live music!

S-P-R-I-N-G Forward

March 14, 2016

Spring is right around the corner, and with that so is Easter! Ā Of course living in Florida, it pretty much feels like summer here already, haha. Ā So, Kat and I wanted to share with you some of our Spring looks! Ā We loveee florals, pastels, crop tops, lace and I even wear black as one of my Spring ensembs!

DSC_1289

Just like other fashionistas, we associateĀ pastels with Spring just because they’re so light and remind us of all the beautiful flowers ready to bloom! Ā Kat chose to wear one her fav tops from Marshalls in that soft blush color. Ā And who could blame her! Ā It is so clean looking and has that touch of soft pink that makes it so elegant.

DSC_1286

She styled the dressier top with some distressed boyfriend jeans from Nordstrom! Ā It really gives her outfit that shabby chic look!

DSC_1293

She paired her ensemb with some lovely faux snake skin heels from Aldo that are just to die for. Ā The nude is classic but the pattern really spices the whole outfit up!

DSC_1297

I know black isn’t technically a Spring color, but it truly is one of my fav colors to wear. Ā And I wanted to show off my new black and white printedĀ Vince Camuto tank that I bought from Marshalls for just $10!!

DSC_1338

I paired it with one of my fav pairs of black high waisted skinny jeans from TJMaxx to keep it classic looking!

DSC_1332

As for my shoes they are legit the most comfortable heels I have ever worn. Ā I literally could wear them all day everyday just like sneakers. Ā They are black leather Vince Camuto heels with a bit of a wedge. Ā I found them at Ross and am so glad I didn’t pass them up!

DSC_1335

Kat and I really just love sharing some of our looks with you and are truly excited for all the Spring clothing items breaking out of the closet! Ā There’s not just one specific color or style that you must wear for Spring so that’s why its exciting to mix it up and just wear some of your fav styles or colors!

International Women’s Day!

March 9, 2016

Kat and I are getting suited up for International Women’s Day! She actually told me it was International Women’s Day so of course we had to participate and dress up in our business suits. Ā I love wearing business clothes because I feel so professional and important haha, but Kat adds a little more style to her business ensemb.

DSC_1375

For Kat’s suit she wore a gorgeous blush colored blazer from Nordstrom Rack. Ā This color is just super classy and clean looking.

DSC_1386

Sometimes people think you have to be super matchy or opt forĀ the classic navy blue, black, and grey colors when wearing a suit. Ā Kat chose to throw a nice pop of color by wearing red pants that she bought from Forever 21.

DSC_1383

Since she had some nice coloring in her blazer and pants, she decided to go with a very neutral, long white tee for her top that she bought from Urban Outfitters.

DSC_1381

She chose to wear a beautiful patent leather nude heel by Steve Madden. Ā But of course she made sure to wear her foot pads!

DSC_1406

I went with a bit more traditional look for my suit, but I still changed it up a bit! Ā I wore a baby blue blazer from Forever 21, which I thought was perfect with Spring right around the corner.

DSC_1415

I chose to wear it with a white, sleeveless Michael Kor’s top that I bought at Marshall’s, of course!

DSC_1398

My Vince Camuto navy pants are seriously my go to for all job interviews ha, and they were a steal at Macy’s. Ā I just am obsessed with skinny dress pants!

DSC_1403

To finish off the suit, I chose to wear a pair of heels, shocking I know! I bought these snake skin nude Coach heels a couple of years ago at Marshall’s.

I just wanted to link a couple of super cute blazers that are on sale right now!!

Women look super badass and stylish when working their suits! And who could resist participating in International Women’s Day?! So, please share some of your looks with us or maybe a favorite suit/blazer that you love to wear.

It’s Legging Time!

February 23, 2016

I legit used to hate leggings, and I still don’t wear them all the time, but I’ve slowly warmed up to them haha. Ā I think it is a good staple to have in your wardrobe just because they are comfy- there’s no denying that. Ā Also, they’re super easy to pair with tops, and they can be made into something super casual or even dressy.

DSC_1277

Kat chose to pair her black leggings, from Marshalls, with a long, flowy top from Nordstrom Rack. The blouse has a nice Southwestern patternĀ that breaks up theĀ solid black.

DSC_1267

DSC_1275

She’s wearing some brown Vince Camuto riding boots from Macy’s! One of her fav fashion combosĀ to wearĀ is black and brown.

DSC_1271

She added a gorgeous Vince Camuto brown and black bag to compliment the brown boots!

DSC_1259

Leggings are perfect to wear to dinner because they’re super stretchy giving you plenty of room to stuff your face! I actually wore them to a super nice restaurant by pairing them with a very dressy blouse and heels.
