Winter Coat Time of the Year!

December 18, 2017

We’ve been lucky enough to have over a week of cold temps here in Florida!  So, Kat and I are trying to wear all of the coats we own at least once because we know this weather will be gone before we know it.

Plus, coats always seem to amp up my outfit and make me feel all fancy even if I wear them with a tee, blouse, or sweater! Continue Reading

Latest MARSHALLS Scores

October 3, 2017

We haven’t posted about our Marshall’s finds lately (this doesn’t mean we haven’t shopped there in awhile haha) but we found some amazinggg deals (which is nothing new!) this past weekend!

As most of you know, Marshalls is not the typical store you shop at when you’re in a rush or looking for something VERY specific.  There is always soooo much inventory whether it’s clothes, shoes, household items or even FOOD!  So Kat and I could (and literally do) browse the store for hourssss.  Even if you are looking for a particular item….we always feel it’s worth a stop at Marshalls! BLACK as a STAPLE

January 12, 2017

You know how everyone says every girl should own a LBD (little black dress) well I think everyone should own a black top and bottom of some sort too!

Colorful wardrobes are essential because you have variable options, and it’s nice to have that added pop of color in your ensemble.  However, no matter the occasion, season, setting, or body type, BLACK is essential in every wardrobe.

It literally will go with anything, making it super versatile!

Whether it be black pants, shoes, tee-shirts, suits, jackets, sweaters, or blouses- it honestly is a ‘color’ that looks amazing on everyone and can easily be paired with any type of outfit.

Bonus– I always feel slimmer and more sleek when I wear black haha.

Kat went for a dressier look with this black knit sweater that featured a Peter Pan collar.

New Year New Clothes {featuring Rosegal}

January 10, 2017

Of course shopping for new clothes is more like a weekly thing than a holiday one haha, but the New Year just so happened to be the perfect time to pick out some fun, new items to style! Kat and I were lucky enough to get to pick out items from Rosegal.

I don’t know what it is about button up shirts, but I really could wear them all the time.  Maybe it’s the collar or the fact that they can be casual or dressed up, but I just LOVE them!

I gravitated toward this button up on the site mainly because it had the most adorable, sequined dinosaur patches!

It’s a very light, demin shirt, but what makes it so unique are the colorful dinos! Bonus it’s under $23!

It’s super comfy, and I knew it would be something special to add to my collection of button ups!

Shockingly, we are experiencing some cold fronts in Florida which allows us to sport some super cozy knits, sweaters, and coats!

Kat decided to pick out this super soft sweater under $24!

It’s a pretty grey color, and it’s long enough so that it can be styled with leggings.

It’s also a bit oversized which makes it really comfortable and warm-perfect for those temperature drops!

Honestly, who can resist a comfy sweater!

We definitely recommend you checking out Rosegal because we are in love with our pieces.  Also check out their Instagram for some awesome style inspiration. The quality is good and of course the prices are really affordable!

Although we received these items free of charge, all opinions are our own.

Comfy Sweaters + Giving Thanks

November 22, 2016

Thanksgiving is a few days away and we could not be more excited to EAT! Well that and of course spend time with those we love and appreciate all the good that we have in our lives.

Because Thanksgiving circulates around food we neeeed to be comfy! I do not need to accentuate any food baby with a tight top or dress.

Our go-tos this holiday are cozy, comfy sweaters. They keep you warm and are still comfy to lounge around in all day.

This sweater dress is so soft and comfy! I absolutely love the off the shoulder detail and the dark navy blue color is perfect for the Holiday season. Pairing it with tights and OTK boots dress it up without losing the comfort factor!

Sweet Little SUNDAY

October 20, 2016

Kat and I just wanted to share with you all simple and fun fall outfit ideas.  We are all super busy with work, errands, family and friends, but we all have one thing in common-we LOVE fashion!

Sometimes you just need an easy outfit to throw on while still staying fashionable!

For my Fall ensemble, I went super casual & comfy by throwing on leggings (which i never really wear haha) and a flannel.

dsc_0700

dsc_0686

Flannels are def my go-to for Fall fashion.  And of course I had to add one of my fav pair of suede, green kicks!

dsc_0693jpg

dsc_0696

Since it isn’t cold enough for a scarf, I decided to go for a baseball cap. The grey really brought out the grey in my flannel and the faux leather brim just added that extra detail!

dsc_0691

dsc_0684

I literally threw this outfit together in 2 minutes and it’s super comfy all while staying within the season’s trend!

dsc_0705

Kat opted for a super cute black dress with polka dots from SHEIN!  It’s nice and easy to just throw on, and so easy to dress it up! Bonus it is under $20!!

dsc_0707

The cutout sleeves add the perfect amount of detail. And it will look so chic with black tights when the weather cools down.

dsc_0712

To add some neutral accessories Kat opted for a nude cross-body and camel colored hat.

Taste

FUN-Festive-FRESH-Fizz

October 11, 2016

One of the best parts about our mini Disney vacay was experiencing a deliciously fresh and new drink!!  Kat and I decided to hang at Il Mulino’s bar and boy was it a greatttt idea!

I decided to order one of their speciality drinks to go ahead and try something fun and new. Let me tell ya, it was well worth it!  I ordered what they called an Aperol Spritz.  It sounded super light and refreshing, and the main ingredient was Prosecco so how could I resist?!

img_8007

Since Kat and I loveddd it so much, we decided it would be festive to recreate the drink for Fall (especially because they’re orange in color hehe)  They literally take 1 minute to make and were just as delicious as we remembered so we def recommend them!

Recipe:

1 1/2 ounces Aperol

img_7989

3 ounces {or more depending on taste} Prosecco or sparkling wine, chilled

img_7992

Sparkling mineral water or club soda, chilled

img_7993

1 lemon or orange slice or twist

img_8010

Fill the glasses with the Proseco {we used larger glasses so we filled them about halfway}, then add the Aperol and a splash of club soda. Garnish with the orange and you’re good to go!

img_8012
img_8015

This makes a fairly large drink, but because it is so light and not sweet, it’s easy to drink haha.

As for the Prosecco, you can use any brand, but the bar specifically used Cupcake.  The Aperol is the most expensive ingredient, but you only use a little anyway so you definitely can get several drinks out of the bottle!

img_8059

If you’re looking for a fun, fresh, and easy Fall drink recipe- this is it!  Reminder it’s not super sweet but the Prosecco gives it just the perfect amount sugar!

Please share with us some of your fav drink recipes, and tell us what you think about this one!!

Nike’s, Nike’s, and more NIKE’S

September 16, 2016

As you all know, I have quite the sneaker addiction, but I’m pretty particular when buying a pair of sneaks.  I even like to stay to a specific make and style-mainly Nike Stefan Janoksi’s.  I’ve mentioned my love for Janoski’s a few times in posts, but my collection is quite extensive.

Of course Nike’s can be pricey and Stefan Janoksi’s are no different.   Luckily, almost every pair I own has been purchased on sale!  And recently I have gotten so lucky at finding an abundance of these shoes for dirt cheap prices at random stores and websites!  So, for all you other Nike lovers out there I wanted to share with you my recent finds and places to check for great deals.

First up is Marshalls!

Most Nike Stefan Janoksi’s are unisex, but are typically placed in the men’s shoe section so I always make sure to check it out.  I wear a woman’s 8.5 so that makes me a size 7 in men’s.  So whatever your size is in women’s shoes, just go down 1.5 sizes and that is your shoe size in men’s!  I luckily found these Stefan Janoski’s for just $20 at Marshalls on clearance.  They are black with a mint green raised pattern!

img_1467 img_1468

One of the reasons these are my favorite shoes, is because they are a sneaker shaped like a shoe.  They’re not bulky or too athletic looking, which makes them perfect for sneakerheads like me haha.

My newest pair is from Ross.  I found them for $34 not on sale.  I knew I had to scoop them up for that price!

img_1464

The smudged polka dots really made these stand out, and I liked how the colors were fairly neutral being they are black, white, and cream.

The next two pairs I’m about to share with you all are both ordered online from Skatepark of Tampa.  Both pairs were on sale for $25 each! I just randomly searched on their one day found them on sale, and $25 is an absolute steal for these mid-top Janoski’s.

img_1472

These maroon mid-rise Janoski’s are my favorite!  I love that they have a gum sole and of course maroon is my fav color!

img_1476

These camel colored suede mid-rise are so perfect that I can’t wait to wear them for Fall.  The navy blue check and laces really pop on this color, and the checkered flannel pattern on the inside is just too cute!

Although my collection is much more extensive, these are the pairs that I recently purchased over the last few weeks for such affordable prices!!!

Stores like Marshall and Ross (I constantly find pairs there) are great places to find these shoes at a discounted price.  However online sites like, Skatepark of Tampa, Tactics, and even Nike are great places to frequent when looking for a specific shoe.  Even Ebay will sometimes have lower prices, it’s always smart to check multiple places.  Sometimes you just get lucky!

Share with us some of your fav kicks and why you can’t get enough of them!

W-E-E-K-E-N-D (wear)

September 8, 2016

Who doesn’t love getting ready on the weekend?! I mean you know you’re getting ready to go out get dinner, drinks, etc. and NOT go to work haha.

Soooo, when it’s the weekend, Kat and I wanted to show you all what we like to wear.  Kat styled her outfit with her taste in mind and my inner self shows in my outfit too.

DSC_0622

Kat loves the dresses because they’re so comfy and can be dressed up or down!  She chose this lovely patterned and colored dress from boohoo!

DSC_0618

Her white earrings go lovely with the blue and orange color in the dress.  And of course who could forget about the other accessories!

DSC_0606

With Fall right around the corner, the colors in her dress and her grey suede heels with that fringe detail are absolute perfection.

This outfit isn’t too dressy that you would feel out place, but it’s simplicity and comfort make it perfect for those weekend escapades.

DSC_0611

As expensive and fancy as these shoes look, Kat found them from none other than Charlotte Russe!  This color is just absolutely perfect all while being neutral!  Unfortunately, Kat’s style of shoe is sold out so I linked a similar style HERE.

DSC_0591

My style doesn’t really incorporate many dresses into it haha, but even though I like to wear outfits that are comfy, I still try to make sure they can be dressed up if need be!

For this dinner outfit, I chose my new favorite jogger pants from TJMaxx and a plain white tee.  I linked a similar pair of khaki joggers for only $20 HERE

DSC_0595

This khaki jogger pant was on clearance for $12 and they are the comfiest clothing item (besides a hoodie haha) that I own!

DSC_0605

Adding just a basic white tee from Marshalls kept the outfit looking clean and neutral while not being to casual for a night out!  I linked a similar white tee-shirt HERE.

DSC_0592

I added the heels as the final boost taking my ensemble one level up.  Kat actually bought these gorgeous coffee, cognac colored heels from Asos.  They are very comfy and not too high!  I linked a very similar style/color HERE

We’d love to see some of your favorite weekend styles! Feel free to check out our Instagram pages or comment on the blog!
