Savannah [wrap-up]

June 6, 2016

We had a great girls trip in Savannah last week and wanted to share some of our favorite spots that we stumbled upon this trip.

If you’ve ever been to Savannah, you know it is a great city to just walk around and stumble into places that look fun and that is basically what we did this trip. We didn’t have any set plans and just wanted to see where the wind took us haha.

Here are some of our favorite [must-do’s] :

1. The Marshall House

We stayed at the Marshall House this trip and it was perfect for a girl’s weekend. It’s such a historic hotel with tons of interesting background stories and so, so pretty! It was the perfect location to walk literally everywheeere in the city. And having a wine & cheese hour is always a bonus.

2. Rocks on the Roof

This is the rooftop bar of the Bohemian Hotel on the river. The views are gorgeous! I can never pass up a rooftop bar and the drinks were delish. I definitely recommend hitting up their happy hour if you’re in town Monday through Thursday!

3. Kevin Barry’s Irish Pub

Now on our trip we had some overcast, rainy weather. Which was definitely not ideal, so what are 3 ladies to do when it’s chilly and rainy out?? Go to a dark, cozy Irish pub of course! This bar is perfect, it’s on the River, the drinks were amazing [and super cheap!], and the service was so good. A must for your stroll down the River.

4. Savannah Bee Company

Uh, huh honey.

I love honey- Tee is not a big fan haha, but as soon as we saw that Savannah Bee Company offers mead tastings I knew we had to do it. How often can you sample mead?! Mead is an alcoholic drink made of fermented honey and water, so its taste is definitely unique. The tasting is $5 a person and you basically get a flight of six different meads. It was definitely a fun experience!

5. Leopold’s Ice Cream

So you know a place is good when it literally has a line wrapped around the corner everyday all day. Yes, we waited 45 minutes for ice cream. NO REGRETS! It was delicious- a must do. Order the Chocolate Chewies & Cream, you will not be disappointed.

6. Forsyth Park

Strolling around Forsyth is a must do. It is 30 acres of gorgeousness, literally. Check out the fountain and the beautiful buildings surrounding the park. Next trip we are definitely taking along a picnic blanket and some wine and cheese!

7. Vic’s on the River

We went here for our last dinner in the city and it did not disappoint. Beautiful views, great vibes, and delicious food. Order the fried green tomatoes- soooo good!

We know that we will be heading back to Savannah again soon, because there are so many fun things to explore! It was such a fun girls trip and we loved every minute.
