We love getting dressed up for NYE-the sequins, glitter, gold everything! But not always do your plans revolve around a dressy event.
We wanted to share some New Year’s Eve looks that were leaning on the casual side while still adding some fun, festive touches.
A denim shirt is a staple in most people’s wardrobes.
It can be dressed up or down and works perfectly for this occasion. Dressed up with some black skinny pants, nude heels, and few fun accessories make it the perfect basis for a casual NYE look.
Tee added a fun black velvet bow and a gold tassel necklace to amp up her look!
Sequin leggings are perfect for New Year’s Eve. I am loving these ones!
I love pairing gold with more neutral tones! This green flowy blouse and lightweight trench {under $15!!} make for the perfect additions to keep this look casual.
I’m obsessed with these heels from Payless! They are so comfortable and under $30!
We hope you have a fun & safe New Year’s Eve!
Cheers to an exciting 2017!
Now that Christmas is only a few days away {so crazy!!} we have some last minute Holiday looks for you!
We celebrate Christmas Eve with our family and love getting dressed up for the occasion. Classic red and green looks are always fun to wear!
This gorgeous green button down has an adorable black velvet bow detail around the neckline! It is c/o ZAFUL and is such a steal {under $25!!}.
Tee paired it with some black skinny jeans and gold flats.
This button up comes in so many gorgeous colors and would look amazing paired with skirts as well! It can be dressed up or down.

Celebrating our 1 year Blogiversary today and asking ourselves “Where did the time go?!”.
A year has legitimately flown by and yet we have learned so much during this time. A year ago we were nervous to launch Fashion without the Fortune, not really confident in our blogging skills and continuously asking ourselves “Is anyone even going to read this thing?!”. But we took the plunge, wrote our first post {our guide to shopping Marshalls}, and pressed publish.
And we’re so happy we did!
We have met so many incredible people this past year through this blogging adventure-people from across the world and right in our own backyard. We’ve loved sharing our posts and can’t wait to see what this next year brings for our little blog.
So here’s a cheers to affordable fashion, fun travel adventures, and sharing all of it with my sister!
Cheers to 1 year Fashion without the Fortune!

Kat and I just wanted to share with you all simple and fun fall outfit ideas. We are all super busy with work, errands, family and friends, but we all have one thing in common-we LOVE fashion!
Sometimes you just need an easy outfit to throw on while still staying fashionable!
For my Fall ensemble, I went super casual & comfy by throwing on leggings (which i never really wear haha) and a flannel.
Flannels are def my go-to for Fall fashion. And of course I had to add one of my fav pair of suede, green kicks!
Since it isn’t cold enough for a scarf, I decided to go for a baseball cap. The grey really brought out the grey in my flannel and the faux leather brim just added that extra detail!
I literally threw this outfit together in 2 minutes and it’s super comfy all while staying within the season’s trend!
Kat opted for a super cute black dress with polka dots from SHEIN! It’s nice and easy to just throw on, and so easy to dress it up! Bonus it is under $20!!
The cutout sleeves add the perfect amount of detail. And it will look so chic with black tights when the weather cools down.
To add some neutral accessories Kat opted for a nude cross-body and camel colored hat.
Linked are some similar styles!

It’s the most wonderful timeeee of the year!
Epcot’s Food & Wine Festival is a must for us every year. It is so fun to travel through the countries and see what delicious dishes & drinks each one has to offer.
If you have never been, we definitely recommend hitting it up at least once! It runs through November 14th this year.
Here is our trip roundup!
We had such an amazing trip and of course can’t wait to return!
