Celebrating our 1 year Blogiversary today and asking ourselves “Where did the time go?!”.
A year has legitimately flown by and yet we have learned so much during this time. A year ago we were nervous to launch Fashion without the Fortune, not really confident in our blogging skills and continuously asking ourselves “Is anyone even going to read this thing?!”. But we took the plunge, wrote our first post {our guide to shopping Marshalls}, and pressed publish.
And we’re so happy we did!
We have met so many incredible people this past year through this blogging adventure-people from across the world and right in our own backyard. We’ve loved sharing our posts and can’t wait to see what this next year brings for our little blog.
So here’s a cheers to affordable fashion, fun travel adventures, and sharing all of it with my sister!
Cheers to 1 year Fashion without the Fortune!

Halloween is days away which calls for some last minute inspo! If you are still looking for a costume idea or fun festive ensemb Shein has some great affordable pieces.
Hope you all have a fabulous and fun weekend!
Kat and I just wanted to share with you all simple and fun fall outfit ideas. We are all super busy with work, errands, family and friends, but we all have one thing in common-we LOVE fashion!
Sometimes you just need an easy outfit to throw on while still staying fashionable!
For my Fall ensemble, I went super casual & comfy by throwing on leggings (which i never really wear haha) and a flannel.
Flannels are def my go-to for Fall fashion. And of course I had to add one of my fav pair of suede, green kicks!
Since it isn’t cold enough for a scarf, I decided to go for a baseball cap. The grey really brought out the grey in my flannel and the faux leather brim just added that extra detail!
I literally threw this outfit together in 2 minutes and it’s super comfy all while staying within the season’s trend!
Kat opted for a super cute black dress with polka dots from SHEIN! It’s nice and easy to just throw on, and so easy to dress it up! Bonus it is under $20!!
The cutout sleeves add the perfect amount of detail. And it will look so chic with black tights when the weather cools down.
To add some neutral accessories Kat opted for a nude cross-body and camel colored hat.
Linked are some similar styles!

Halloween is quickly approaching so we wanted to share two easy and affordable costume ideas that would be perfect for any Halloween party or event!
We followed some easy Youtube tutorials and pictures from Pinterest and came up with some fun and spooky looks!
{Zombie}
This makeup was super easy to recreate. I followed this picture for some zombie inspiration.
This sweater from SheIn is the perfect distressed piece to look zombie chic. And it is sooo unbelievably comfy & affordable! I paired it with some distressed jeans and black ankle boots.
{Little Red Riding Hood}
Tee followed this Youtube tutorial and it turned out great! She wore some black leggings and a black tunic tank from her closet along with some black riding boots.
She ordered this red cape on Amazon which completed the look!
We can’t wait to see everyone’s Halloween costumes! Hope you enjoyed our easy and affordable looks!
One of the best parts about our mini Disney vacay was experiencing a deliciously fresh and new drink!! Kat and I decided to hang at Il Mulino’s bar and boy was it a greatttt idea!
I decided to order one of their speciality drinks to go ahead and try something fun and new. Let me tell ya, it was well worth it! I ordered what they called an Aperol Spritz. It sounded super light and refreshing, and the main ingredient was Prosecco so how could I resist?!
Since Kat and I loveddd it so much, we decided it would be festive to recreate the drink for Fall (especially because they’re orange in color hehe) They literally take 1 minute to make and were just as delicious as we remembered so we def recommend them!
Recipe:
1 1/2 ounces Aperol
3 ounces {or more depending on taste} Prosecco or sparkling wine, chilled
Sparkling mineral water or club soda, chilled
1 lemon or orange slice or twist
Fill the glasses with the Proseco {we used larger glasses so we filled them about halfway}, then add the Aperol and a splash of club soda. Garnish with the orange and you’re good to go!
This makes a fairly large drink, but because it is so light and not sweet, it’s easy to drink haha.
As for the Prosecco, you can use any brand, but the bar specifically used Cupcake. The Aperol is the most expensive ingredient, but you only use a little anyway so you definitely can get several drinks out of the bottle!
If you’re looking for a fun, fresh, and easy Fall drink recipe- this is it! Reminder it’s not super sweet but the Prosecco gives it just the perfect amount sugar!
Please share with us some of your fav drink recipes, and tell us what you think about this one!!
It’s the most wonderful timeeee of the year!
Epcot’s Food & Wine Festival is a must for us every year. It is so fun to travel through the countries and see what delicious dishes & drinks each one has to offer.
If you have never been, we definitely recommend hitting it up at least once! It runs through November 14th this year.
Here is our trip roundup!
We had such an amazing trip and of course can’t wait to return!
